Over Charise Janssens
Charise Janssens holds a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy, with a specialisation in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She also completed a course in Healthcare Management and Policy, which gave her in-depth insight into the organisation and functioning of healthcare.
Before joining as a Hip Coach, she gained valuable experience in other sectors, where she further developed her sense of efficiency and eye for detail. Today, she is active as a Hip Coach within the European Hip Center and contributes to the development of the hub in Antwerp, together with Dr. Wouter Peeters and Dr. Jeroen Verhaegen. Together they guide patients with hip complaints with the aim of sparing them from surgery for as long as possible and maximally focusing on a conservative treatment pathway.
Her particular interest lies in sports-related injuries and hip dysplasia. She derives great satisfaction from clinical reasoning and jointly searching for the most effective approach for each patient, with the goal of enabling people to move and function optimally again.
In addition, she is part of the Research Unit within the European Hip Center. In this way, she wants to contribute to offering care and treatments that are maximally supported by the most recent scientific literature. At the same time, she actively participates in her own research to further evaluate and optimise existing treatment pathways.
